About Tracie.
Tracie Ball is a designer, former Creative Director, photographer, writer, mystic, and author of the travel memoir When Your Mother Calls You Home.
Tracie's writing explores the intersection of spirituality, mysticism, healing, and personal transformation. Her blog, Healing Tracie, documents her journey recovering from abuse and trauma, sharing insights on healing, intuition, and reconnecting with inner wisdom. Her memoir, When Your Mother Calls You Home, chronicles her three-month solo journey across the globe—from the Ecuadorian Amazon to the foothills of the Himalayas in India—and the profound spiritual, healing, and sometimes miraculous experiences she encountered along the way.
Tracie is passionate about facilitating healing and growth for others by restoring connection to the natural world, cultivating intuitive awareness, and exploring the transformative power of story, creativity, and cultural immersion. Her current professional interests focus on strengthening community through narrative, connection, and shared experience.
Her broader creative vision centers on developing regenerative “win-win-win” solutions that address the housing crisis, food security, and climate change through environmentally conscious development practices. Informed by permaculture, regenerative agriculture, biotecture, and the law of reciprocity, she is particularly interested in initiatives that teach underserved populations in transition valuable skills while contributing to the restoration of people, places, and planet.
A yogi, intuitive guide, and energy healing practitioner, Tracie draws deeply from her own healing journey. Through mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, intuitive practices, and spiritual study, she has navigated profound personal loss and trauma and now dedicates herself to helping others reconnect with their hearts, inner guidance, and capacity for unconditional love.
Tracie has explored diverse spiritual traditions and healing modalities, honing her intuitive and mediumship abilities while studying shamanic healing practices within Peruvian and Ecuadorian traditions. She completed 500 hours of teacher training in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Kundalini yoga at the Samadhi Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India, where she also studied meditation, pranayama (breathwork), mantra, and advanced her understanding of energetic healing practices.
A committed environmental restoration advocate, Tracie believes that healing the Earth and healing ourselves are deeply intertwined. She has studied permaculture and biotecture construction and dreams of designing and building a sustainable healing retreat rooted in ecological restoration.

“I want to convey to you what brought me to healing work. It wasn't the desire to fix people. It was the one and only thing in my life I have been consistently doing since birth.” - Tracie Ball, Curriculum Vitae, Healing Tracie (May 2024)
